Ramsgate Arts organise craft events.
In March 2009 a group of Ramsgate residents and arts professionals came together to form a charitable organisation. We wanted to use culture to help in the regeneration of the town; we saw its huge potential and knew we could use our skills to move it on a bit, to energise and enthuse, to fight apathy and create a buzz of excitement. The overall aim is to provoke opportunities to develop local arts practice, to provide high quality entertainment and activities for residents and to attract visitors from around the UK.
Ramsgate Arts is a membership organisation, run by an entirely voluntary team. The festival is supported by Ramsgate Town Council, Thanet District Council and for the last four years Arts Council England through the National Lottery.
We always need and welcome new support, both in person-power and funding.
